CCRHL // Shinny of Champions Beginner Hockey Program Partnership

The CCRHL is excited to announce a new partnership with Shinny of Champions’ Beginner Hockey (BH) program, Edmonton’s premier introduction to the sport for adults with no prior hockey experience.

SOC’s Beginner Hockey (BH) is a 12-week, step-by-step program designed specifically for adults who are new to the game. Participants learn everything from basic skating fundamentals to shooting, puck control, and game concepts all in a fun, supportive, and safe environment. No skating background is required.

Each session is guided by experienced coaches who focus on building confidence and foundational skills. The program gradually progresses toward gameplay, with the final four sessions featuring real games played alongside your new teammates against other beginner groups.

As Edmonton’s largest adult recreational hockey league, the CCRHL offers divisions for all skill levels, from first-time players to advanced competition. This partnership creates a clear development path: newcomers can learn the game through SOC’s Beginner Hockey program and, once ready, transition seamlessly into an appropriate CCRHL division.
